According to various websites, pre-orders are now being taken on The Green Hornet and The Green Hornet Strikes Again DVDs from VCI. Both serials are supposed to be restored and the best possible copies available. Frankly, TGHSA looked pretty fine when released by Anchor Bay in the 1990s, but as most copies of TGH look only okay, this is fairly exciting news. Both DVDs are due to be released on July 28 with a SRP of $29.99 for the two disc sets, which also include liner notes and two episodes of the radio program.

True enough. But there are a few places selling it for cheaper. Ya just gotta know where to look (which is my way of saying I forget exactly who does have it
cheaper!).

Wait for VCI's annual sale around Christmas time. They will probably knock it down in price then. I will also wait until my one friend buys his copy of TGH
and then take a look at it. I'm pretty sure it will look far better than my current DVD. I am not sure if I will shell out for GHSA.

Hopefully, VCI will send me the DVDs for review purposes as I have requested them, and they have sent me serials in the past.

Buying videos from VCI is like buying a matress. There is always a sale in the works. I got a bunch of their serials last year at $9.99 apiece. The Green
Hornet serials are OK but not something for which I need to have the earliest possible copy.

Does In The Balcony mention when they are offering sales? I know Gravy is in good with them, and thought perhaps he might.
But even if not, I suppose it is a good idea to post when a sale is in progress. No point overpaying for anything.
